About This Role:
 

This role involves developing and implementing procurement strategies aligned with company goals, negotiating with suppliers for better pricing and delivery schedules, and managing inventory to ensure adequate stock. You will oversee the procurement team, collaborate with various departments, and assist with NPI and ECN processes. Additionally, you will monitor supplier performance, manage obsolescence with Finance, and ensure alignment with corporate objectives through reporting and productivity initiatives.

Job Description:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company goals

  • Negotiate with suppliers for better pricing, quality, and delivery schedules

  • Support the procurement team in ensuring on-time delivery

  • Identify new suppliers and maintain existing relationships

  • Manage inventory to ensure adequate stock levels

  • Collaborate with other departments to align contracts and purchases with company goals

  • Supervise procurement team members (Buyers, College Intern, HS Interns)

  • Assist Materials Manager with delivery schedules between manufacturers and customers

  • Review and monitor Engineering Change Notices (ECN)

  • Approve Request for Quotes (RFQs) for New Product Introduction (NPI) and ECN changes

  • Monitor demand for new parts for NPI

  • Participate in weekly calls with Product Managers and customers for NPI status

  • Monitor and approve component requests from other Carrier Sites.

  • Prioritize clear-to-build control boxes for various products

  • Align with corporate goals for material productivity reporting

  • Implement supplier price changes with Corporate

  • Report Schedule A, B, and C projects

  • Submit PSR data to corporate

  • Manage obsolescence with Finance

Required Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree

  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SAP experience preferred

  • Accounts Payable invoice resolution experience preferred

  • Expert knowledge of MRP

  • Excellent decision-making capabilities

  • Problem solving skills

  • Strong communication skills

  • Must have attention to detail, be very organized, and thrive in a fast-paced work environment

  • Must possess a strong work ethic, ability to overcome challenges, and a willingness to learn new systems

  • Must be self-motivated and focused on results

  • Must have strong inventory management skills

  • Moderate to expert skill with Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel V Lookups and Pivot tables

  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as work independently
