This is a rare opportunity to join the Carrier team as a direct hire. As a Warehouse Operator you will be responsible for supporting the materials operation in a distribution environment. This position works Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm with overtime. Schedule may change based off of business conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
Adhere to all safety requirements and wear appropriate (PPE) Personal Protection Equipment
Support the picking/packing, loading/unloading and general warehousing duties
Understand method of locating materials
Read a packing list and follow defined shipping/receiving protocols
Record turn back’s
Process rework work orders/purchase orders
Perform and reconcile cycle counts, relentless root cause analysis
Recommend improvements consistently striving for efficient and effective methodologies and maintain departmental quality standards
Execute JDE transactions relative to your area of responsibility
Perform 5S
Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
1+ years of experience with continuous improvement methodologies
Capable of climbing ladders or using other lift equipment over 8 feet above grade and capable of lifting items up to 35lbs.
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications:
Certified PIV Driver
Experience in a high volume, high complexity, distribution environment
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Strong organizational skills
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
