About this role
Kidde Global Solutions has an exciting opportunity for an innovative and detail-oriented Digital Product Engineer to join our team. This role involves designing, developing, and implementing cutting-edge digital solutions that align with our business objectives. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to create seamless, scalable, and user-focused digital products.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain digital products, ensuring high performance, responsiveness, and scalability.
Design life safety products localized to market requirements the world over.
Complete conceptual, architectural, detailed design, and test documentation.
Develop a life safety system or component from concept and release design to production within short time spans.
Work closely with hardware, software, research, sourcing, manufacturing, marketing, compliance, and quality group members within and outside of the project team.
Design to global regulatory requirements.
Leverage and manage low-cost resource options, and work with remote teams to ensure consistency, compliance, and project success.
Help establish and communicate project schedules, resources, and contingency plans.
Participate in compliance-driven culture within the engineering team.
Bring in projects on time, on-budget delivery.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree
5+ years of experience designing and developing digital products.
5+ years of experience using IP based networking and protocols in applications.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or any technical field
Proficiency in software development languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python, C/C++).
Experience in designing efficient backend services and APIs using cloud technologies (AWS) with focus on building robust, high-performance systems to support business operations.
Knowledge of database systems (SQL, NoSQL) such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or DynamoDB.
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
Experience using cybersecurity principles as they relate to digital product development.
Understanding of real-time systems, operating systems, and mobile platforms.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Highly energetic and success-driven team player.
Self-directed and able to tackle new projects and ideas.
Ability to persist and succeed with cross-cultural communication on technical issues.
Strong technical skills and analytical proficiency.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail, and superior follow-up and follow-through skills

Can personally adaptable, and able to perform well under pressure.
Experience with regulatory agencies.
