About this role

We are looking for an​ experienced Project Manager professional. This position is for a professional with deep knowledge and highly developed technical expertise in Project Management, who develops project plans and budgets. Identifies project problems, recommends solutions, documents project delays, performs critical path analyses, and presents progress reports. Improve direct communications with customers and field team members. Analyze and interpret test information to resolve moderate design/system related problems. Develop specialized product knowledge and may perform diagnostic procedures. May contact and meet customers on a daily basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The Project Manager is responsible for managing the installation of commercial HVAC equipment and building automation systems (BAS), within various vertical markets, positively representing the company in all client and architect/engineer interactions

  • Work with end-users, sales staff, and prime contractors to ensure a clear understanding of project scope and deliverables

  • The Project Manager helps oversee and communicate project progression from inception to completion, including design, permits, material delivery, labor schedules, and field installation

  • Develops a comprehensive project plan to meet schedules and budgets. Conducts Work in Progress meetings

  • Expected to develop working knowledge with Building Automation Systems (BAS) systems; Carrier i-Vu knowledge is a plus

  • Understands and follows all published codes, standards, and unique project specifications

  • Conveys a sense of professionalism, fairness, and concern for customers, labor, and management

  • Negotiate with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors

  • Accurately forecast revenue each month by reviewing each project to estimate the value of work completed each month correctly

  • Execute all major functions required for project management, including project initiation, project planning, project execution, project monitoring, and project close-out

  • Manage the Change Order process, assuring that scope creep does not occur

  • Assure that all projects will be managed to or exceed the percentage of booked project margin

  • Assure that job safety is priority on every project.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • 5+ years of experience in project management

  • 2+ years of experience in mechanical installation or building automation systems

  • 2+ years of experience reading blueprints, structural drawings and understand complex building architectural, mechanical, and electrical documents

  • 2+ years of experience with Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PMP certification or working towards PMP Certification.

  • Associates Degree in electrical engineering or project management.

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize among assignments with a strong adherence to deadlines.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, both with internal and external customers.
