Role Purpose:
We are looking for a Product Chemical Compliance Project Manager for Carrier's Engineering function as part of the central World Head Quarters Engineering Sustainability Organization. The Sustainability Engineering organization is accelerating Carrier’s sustainability initiatives to reach Net Zero through investments in advanced research, technologies and design for sustainability methods that will shape the future of our products and services. As the Product Chemical Compliance Project Manager, you will drive Carrier’s cross-functional implementation of regulation compliance.
Role Responsibilities:
Maintain and update systems and processes for the product chemical compliance database.
Collaborate with sourcing and supply chain departments to gather part and supplier data for the product chemical compliance database.
Work with legal, ESG and product teams to assess the impact of existing and new global regulations on Carrier and communicate findings to product teams.
Assist in the implementation of processes and procedures needed to comply with reporting and other complex regulatory requirements.
Monitor the evolving and complex regulatory environment and assess its implications for Carrier.
Partner with internal and external regulatory experts to develop and support compliance training programs for Carrier associates.
Integrate product chemical compliance databases and tools into existing Carrier data lakes.
Consult with internal and external regulatory experts to resolve any non-compliance escapes.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of experience in chemistry, engineering, chemical compliance, or EH&S (environmental, health, & safety)
OR
Master’s degree with 5+ years of experience in chemistry, engineering, chemical compliance, or EH&S (environmental, health, & safety)
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience driving and influencing cross-functional teams
Experience with supplier facing compliance tools and services such as Assent
Advanced knowledge of sustainability best practices
Advanced knowledge of global Product Chemical Compliance regulations such as RoHS, EU REACH, California Prop 65, those related to PFAS, etc.
