Role Purpose:

The Carrier Energy Utility Markets Valuation Leader will work closely with the Business Development and Key Account Managers to profile major Utilities and develop financial and go to market frameworks to validate and deploy Carrier Energy’s integrated HVAC and energy solutions. In this role the successful candidate will be responsible for Market Targeting Models, Utility Prep Decks, Utility Value Creation Analytical models and will engage with strategic Stakeholders Utilities Executive, Sponsor and Senior Technical levels. In this role the Utilities Markets Valuation Leader will develop Business Cases in support of MOUs, and Utility Filing documents to what solidify Carrier Energy’s position as a trusted partner in demand response, VPP orchestration, and sustainable energy management. In this role, the Valuation Leader will play a critical role in Account Planning and Sales execution efforts as part of the Carrier Energy Sales and Business Developments teams for assigned accounts.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Develop Profiles and Go-To-Market models for target utilities and key RTO/ISOs to validate Carrier Energy’s business model and offerings.
  • Support, with data and analysis, strong relationships with utility stakeholders to understand their business needs and align Carrier Energy’s solutions with their objectives.
  • Model Carrier Energy’s solutions in order to define existing and new utility incentive models and integrating these into Carrier Energy’s pilots and solutions.
  • Partner with the assigned Key Account Manager in the negotiation and execution of agreements to integrate partner solutions into field deployments.
  • Support the analysis and valuation of Carrier Energy Solutions to secure MOUs and Filing Agreements with utilities to launch projects at scale.
  • Develop the financial and operational feasibility to select strategic partners for field trials and full-scale deployments.
  • Support the Carrier Energy Leadership Team with business and financial modeling, forecasting and reporting.
  • Develop scalable financial strategies for engaging large-scale utilities and partners in preparation for full commercial launch.

Required Qualifications:

  • MBA with 8+ years of experience with business strategy, market valuation, M&A and corporate development experience
  • Ability to travel up to 50% domestically

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA with Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related fields

  • Familiarity with HVAC and battery technologies or related energy management solutions

  • Proven experience and ability to develop and execute consultative sales strategies that drive value growth for Utility customers

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail, while also able to manage multiple priorities and ambiguity

  • Strong negotiation skills: ability to understand contractual, legal language

  • Ability to lead and work in cross-functional environment

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • The ideal candidate for this position is an excellent communicator who possesses a combination of business acumen, industry experience, technical and interpersonal skills

  • Experience with program management and a proven record as an effective leader / influencer is a plus
