About this role

Carrier Commercial HVAC is seeking a Global Product Specialist: Centrifugal Chillers and Systems. These machines are used in some of the most important building projects around the globe. The Global Product Specialist: Centrifugal Chillers and Systems creates technical sales strategies for products on a global basis, furthering our leadership position while utilizing advanced technology.  

Responsibilities include market-based development of solutions including product, sales productivity tools, training and marketing.  As a subject matter expert on chilled water systems, the Global Product Specialist: Centrifugal Chillers and Systems meets with top customers and industry leaders and work with a cross-functional team i.e., development engineering, manufacturing, finance, sales and marketing to define and bring the next generation of chiller solutions to market.  

This is an onsite role in Charlotte with 10-20% domestic/global traveling per year.

Key Responsibilities

• Leverage expertise to develop global strategies to promote and sell water-cooled chillers.
• Work with global colleagues to modify strategies for specific regional requirements
• Lead cross-functional teams on the creation of unique, next generation sales tools to promote the value of our products
• Lead organization ensuring all regions understand the strategies set forth and how to use tools developed to best execute  
• Act as the recognized systems expert, support pre-sale meetings with high level, global customers on large chiller systems
• Collect “Voice of Customer” feedback for future program development
• Help in the creation of business cases for various water-cooled chiller programs

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical or chemical engineering with + 7 years of experience commercial applied HVAC or refrigeration or commercial industrial equipment

OR

• Master’s degree in mechanical, electrical or chemical Engineering with + 5 years of experience in commercial applied HVAC or refrigeration or commercial industrial equipment

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Data visualization and ability to communicate conclusions from large data sets.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite (PowerBI, PowerPoint, MS Excel)
• English written and verbal, interpersonal skills
• Coordinate across multiple functions, to maintain composure in high-pressure situations, and to make decisions in a fast-paced environment
• Self-starter, with business understanding, self-direction, and interpersonal/influencing skills to work across the Carrier organization and with customers
• Personality traits i.e., positivity, responsibility, integrity, accountability, respect and work ethics
