About this role
Carrier Commercial HVAC is looking for an innovative, data-driven, and results-oriented Manufacturing Engineer to contribute to our legacy of innovation. This is a crucial, hands-on role designed to stretch your capabilities and accelerate your professional development.

This is an onsite role in Charlotte NC.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop cutting-edge manufacturing processes for new heat exchangers, chillers, or compressors in commercial products
- Lead new product development from a manufacturing engineering perspective, drive design for manufacturability throughout the process
- Identify equipment and execute capital plans to support new programs
- Collaborate closely with various teams (production, operations, design engineering, configuration control) to ensure seamless transition of new products into stable, optimized manufacturing
- Evaluate material systems for manufacturability and reliability
- Improve and document manufacturing processes to boost efficiency and eliminate inefficiencies
- Confer with vendors on product specifications and equipment/material purchases, ensuring quality
- Develop and implement technical training for production employees
- Design fixtures and tooling for product enhancements and new products, aim for zero defects and low cost
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems
- Proactive elimination of EHS hazards and ensure workplace safety
- Participate in Kaizen teams and apply lean principles for continuous improvement initiatives
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, industrial or manufacturing engineering
- 3+ years experience in manufacturing engineering, design or New Product Introduction (NPI)
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree
- Technical skills in manufacturing engineering
- Self-starter who learns quickly and thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Proactive and results-driven mindset
- Knowledge of Design of Experiments (DOE) and data analysis techniques
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Word)
- Analytical and English communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences, i.e., cross-functional teams, senior leaders, global suppliers, and external customers
- Experience working collaboratively in a team environment
- Organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail
