About This Role
Senior professional with deep knowledge and highly developed technical expertise in Field Service, who provides technical guidance to junior team members. Drives turnkey designs for small to medium installation and partners with staff engineers for the development of complex project designs. Performs complex diagnostic procedures. Communicates technical information to technical/non-technical people that may include senior management. Contacts and meets customers on a daily basis.
Key Responsibilities
Performs on-site services for new and existing clients, which may include equipment servicing and equipment upgrades.
Troubleshoots technical problems and issues and recommends actions to company or customer representatives. Assesses product needs in accordance with customer specifications.
Acts as the expert in product knowledge/subject matter expert and performs diagnostic procedures.
Interprets test information to resolve design/system-related problems and ensure continuous improvement.
Communicates technical information to technical/non-technical stakeholders that may include senior management and meets customers daily or as required to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
Keeps customer informed on the nature of service provided or outstanding issues and recommends system enhancements, upgrades, or repairs.
Designs and programs advanced building automation systems, site-specific configuration of control system, and control algorithms.
Creates clear design documents for project teams with technical information.
Tests programming and interfaces prior to implementation.
Leads functional testing for complex building systems.
Develops and mentors other Field Engineers.
Able to travel to and traverse customer sites including active construction sites.
Basic Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
8+ years of HVAC industry experience
Valid Driver’s License
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Building Automation
Capable of building strong relationships with customers and coworkers.
Detailed-oriented, self-motivated, and works to continuously improve.
Strong skills in written and oral communication, analysis, organization and time management.
Ability to basic financial and accounting-related issues.
Experience with sales tools and software, such as a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and estimating software.
Capability to perform in a fast-paced and changing environment.
Knowledge of how to present ideas and strategies clearly to diverse audiences, leadership, and decision makers.
Capable of climbing ladders or using other lift equipment over 8 feet above grade, and capable of lifting items up to 50lbs.
