About this role:
As the Account Manager for the Automated Logic Field Office (ALFO) organization, you will be responsible for providing factory direct sales support to ALFO leaders as well as ALFO regional managers and sales leaders in our local Automated Logic branch offices. The primary objective of the position is to improve relationships and develop and grow ALC product understanding and adoption while working across regional teams. This role will utilize sales, technical and operational experiences in the Building Automation Systems industry to help increase our install base and grow ALC product share in local markets. This role will focus on supporting the ALC branch network in North America (US and Canadian branch offices).
Reporting directly to the Vice President of Sales and Distribution of Automated Logic Americas, the Account Manager will be responsible for developing, maintaining and supporting branch growth strategies that ensures Automated Logic field offices have the necessary ALC product knowledge, tools, technical understanding and product confidence to deliver value and drive growth using Automated Logic solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide counsel, sales presentations and sales support to account teams, end customers and end customer agents/consultants
- Improve relationships and grow ALC product expertise across the Automated Logic organization.
- Collaborate across Carrier businesses, the Automated Logic Americas Distribution team, and the Automated Logic network of representatives to drive growth
- Develop and implement new product and sales strategies
- Support and maintain pipeline and sales forecast
- Develop and maintain sales collateral and content to influence buyers and educate account teams
- Provide voice of the customer for new product development
- Participate in industry meetings and exhibitions
- Participate in in-house factory initiatives as needed (i.e. quality initiatives, digital tools, CRM optimization, etc.)
- Work across internal teams to support sales, training & technical requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 7+ years of experience in intelligent buildings systems industry
- 2 + years of experience selling, installing or supporting Automated Logic products, services and/or systems
- Travel as required (50% or more)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of the building automation systems industry
- Strong understanding of equipment applications found in a variety of verticals, including higher education, healthcare, mission critical, commercial, etc.
- Strong understanding of IP network topologies and cybersecurity standards and practices
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and deliver consistently
- Proactive problem solver and leader
- Excellent analytical, and computer technical skills
- Ability to develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others across functional teams
- Up-to-date on new technologies and ability to apply new knowledge and techniques
- Capable of working independently and comfortable making decisions
- Flexibility with regard to job duties (those listed and others required to achieve goals)
- Use and familiarity with MS Office – Excel (power user), PowerPoint (power user), Word, Visio and Salesforce.com, etc.
- Account management, applications engineering, and/or product support experience preferred.
- CEM and/or LEED AP accreditation a plus
