External Description:

The Early Career Program Manager is responsible for management and delivery of multiple end-to-end training programs, ensuring training effectiveness for direct and indirect technical sales positions and field service technicians/engineers. 

This individual will partner with sales training leads and subject matter experts on the design, execution, and continuous improvement of early career onboarding and development programs.  Their primary responsibilities will focus on the Sales Engineer Training Program (SET) and TechVantage onboarding experiences with additional responsibilities of expanding these programs to other business areas. This role ensures a seamless, engaging, and high-impact onboarding journey for early career hires by partnering closely with Talent Acquisition, Product Management, Learning & Development, Engineering, ‑Field Services, Sales Channel Partners, and Business Leaders.

The Early Career Program Manager drives operational excellence, learner experience, and program outcomes while supporting the company’s early career talent strategy and long-term workforce development goals while creating brand awareness and market strategies‑ to participants.

Key Responsibilities

Program Design & Delivery

  • Own end-to‑-‑end program management for SET, TechVantage, and future Sales Training onboarding programs, from planning through execution and evaluation.
  • Design and manage structured onboarding journeys that integrate technical training, professional skills, culture, and compliance requirements.
  • Communicate with both program participants and sponsoring stakeholders: program marketing, logistics, achievements, etc..
  • Coordinate onboarding cohorts, schedules, learning pathways, and milestone checkpoints.
  • Ensure programs scale effectively to support hiring volume and business needs for participating business units and sales channel partners.

Stakeholder & Cross‑Functional Partnership

  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to align onboarding timelines with hiring plans and program delivery dates.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Subject Matter Experts, Engineering, Technology, and Business Leaders to ensure onboarding content aligns with role expectations and skill readiness.
  • Work with Learning & Development to curate and deliver technical, soft-skill, and leadership training‑.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for early career hires, managers, sales channel partners, program contributors, and educational institutions.

Learner Experience & Engagement

  • Create a welcoming, inclusive, and engaging onboarding experience (Online, Virtual, and In-person) for early career talent.
  • Facilitate orientation sessions, cohort events (on-site and off-site), and program touchpoints.
  • Monitor participant engagement, progression, and provide feedback to both program participants and sponsoring partners.
  • Provide guidance and support to early career hires throughout onboarding.

Program Operations & Governance

  • Manage program logistics including calendars, communications, learning platforms, and documentation
  • Track attendance, completion, and onboarding metrics
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and onboarding standards
  • Identify risks, issues, and dependencies; proactively implement solutions

Measurement & Continuous Improvement

  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as time to‑ productivity‑, completion rates, and participant satisfaction
  • Analyze feedback and program data to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Implement enhancements to content, delivery methods, and learner experience
  • Prepare reports and insights for leadership and stakeholders

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Education, or Technology discipline
  • 3+ years of experience in program management, early career programs, onboarding, or learning & development
  • 2+ years of project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting technical or engineering populations
  • Experience managing early career, internship, rotational, or graduate programs
  • Familiarity with onboarding platforms, Learning Management System (LMS) tools, or HR systems
  • Experience working in a technology driven‑ or engineering environment
  • PMP, Agile, or other project management certification a plus
