About this role

Carrier is looking for mechanical, systems, electrical, chemical, software, and other engineering majors with demonstrated leadership ability and strong academic performance to join our competitive Carrier Engineering Leadership Program (ELP). The ELP offers graduates an opportunity to deliver impactful contributions to strategic projects through three, eight-month rotations across various Carrier centers of excellence and business units. 

Candidates selected for the program will receive front-line, hands-on, meaningful assignments designed to stretch their capabilities and accelerate their professional development. In addition to the hands-on experience, the program includes high-caliber training, mentorship, and guidance from our diverse team of Carrier executives and program alumni to build a strong and lasting global network of colleagues. 

ELP rotation locations can include Syracuse, NY; Atlanta, GA; Kennesaw, GA; Charlotte, NC; Indianapolis, IN; and/ or Palm Beach Gardens, FL.

Key Responsibilities

The program offers the opportunity to build technical and leadership skills within a professional, cross-functional environment. In addition, program participants will have exposure to: 

  • Technology and product development

  • Technical fundamentals of HVAC, including modeling and hands-on lab testing

  • Project management

  • Change management

  • Customer engagement

  • Executive presence and communications

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering.

  • Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship

  • GPA must be greater than or equal to 3.0 GPA

  • Must be geographically mobile and willing to relocate for rotations.

  • To be eligible for the program, you must graduate in 2026 or 2027 with an engineering degree and be available to start the Leadership Program in June 2027.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior internship experience preferred.

  • Proactive and results-driven; thrives in a fast-paced and dynamic environment 

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Strong ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with cross-functional teams 

  • Demonstrated technical understanding and skills in general engineering, mechanical, systems, electrical, Model-based development (MBD), software, or chemical
