Scope of Position

As an Associate Controls Engineer, you will play a crucial role in Automated Logic’s (ALC) success by designing custom building automation systems tailored to our customers' unique needs. We are seeking a collaborative team player with exceptional problem-solving, time-management, and multitasking abilities. In this role, you will expand your technical capabilities while taking independent ownership of smaller-scale projects. 

Essential Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

• Design and program building automation systems, site-specific control configurations, and control algorithms.
• Adhere to project requirements, technical specifications, and company/customer standards.
• Create, document, and maintain clear technical design documents and revision logs for project teams.
• Develop graphical and text-based user interfaces for building automation systems.
• Perform pre-implementation testing on control programming and user interfaces.
• Provide technical support to sales representatives to ensure customer technical requirements are met.
• Identify and communicate project opportunities, risks, and functional testing needs.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 2+ years of industry experience in construction, industrial, manufacturing or engineering, OR an Associate degree in an engineering or technical field

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in an engineering or construction discipline.
• Prior hands-on experience in HVAC controls, Building Automation Systems (BAS), or commercial electrical/mechanical installation.
• Basic understanding of electrical schematics, control systems, or mechanical HVAC concepts.
• Demonstrated problem-solving, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
