About this role:

The HR Manager will be responsible for a variety of strategic initiatives as well as day-to-day employee and leadership support to employees spanned across various locations in the Sensitech business. Areas of support include but are not limited to organizational design, resource planning and recruitment, total compensation, employee relations, performance management, leadership coaching, leadership development, change management, compliance, diversity & inclusion, and other business initiatives as assigned by the Regional Human Resources.

The HR Manager will spearhead an employee-oriented high performance culture emphasizing quality, productivity, goal attainment and empowerment and is responsible for the development of processes and reporting metrics that support the achievement of the business goals as well as acting as talent expert across the region


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide both strategic and operational human resource management and organizational effectiveness expertise in the areas of organizational design, resource planning and recruitment, total compensation, employee relations, performance management, leadership coaching, leadership development, change management, compliance, diversity & inclusion.
  • Partner with the HR Global People Service & HR Communities of Expertise team to influence the design of HR programs, practices and processes.
  • Provide support to the on-boarding of new leaders and employees in all locations across regions, ensure the integration of current human resource programs, processes and practices.
  • Support and coach the management team on all people leadership matters, including business change and transformation. Forming strong relationships with the management team to be able to challenge and coach in a high-performance environment.
  • In partnership with HR subject matter experts, design, develop and implement tailored human resource strategies and plans that contribute to the overall success of all location’s client groups for example: compensation, retention practices, workforce planning, & leadership development.
  • Participate as an integral member of all client leadership teams to ensure the people and organizational perspective is considered in all proposed business decisions and organizational changes.
  • Lead the work to regularly review the company's talent management processes within the business areas, including performance/potential management, resource planning and succession planning.
  • Ensure the appropriate HR Client Business Leadership and Regional HR are aware of issues, hot spots, potential risks, and progress by providing regular updates and feedback related to human resource services required for client groups.
  • Provide insight and recommendations on HR initiatives that can be leveraged to strengthen business results e.g. leadership/development programs.
  • Work with senior managers to uncover the talent implications i.e., any significant gaps to mee long-term objectives and create a long-term workforce plan that prioritizes people-related initiatives.
  • Monitor, measure and report on HR issues, opportunities and development plans and achievements within agreed formats and timescales
  • Keep up to date with HR legislation in the Region by researching and attending necessary events, before providing suitable interpretation to Managers
  • Manage and develop employee experience programs for all employee types.
  • Additional ad-hoc special projects as assigned.

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 6 + years of experience in a Human Resources Business Partner role

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree
  • Experience in working in a unionized environment and managing hourly employees
  • A relevant university degree in human resource management and/ or business discipline
  • Familiarity or work experience in the Life Science and/ or Pharmaceutical Industry
  • Business Language proficiency in Spanish and/or Mandarin a plus
  • A professional designation such as SPHR and/or SHRM-SCP is desired and previous experience
  • Understanding of the following HR disciplines: consulting and coaching, employee relations, communications, organizational design, recruitment, and selection, building high-performance teams, conflict management, performance management, learning and development, and project management.
  • Global Experience
  • Working knowledge of applicable America’s labor laws and regulations.
  • Demonstrates business acumen and internal consulting skills.
  • Proven ability to balance multiple and sometimes competing priorities within tight timelines.
  • Can influence at all levels within the client area and be a contributing member of the leadership teams.
  • Highly developed communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • A self-starter, with demonstrated initiative, tenacity and flexibility.
  • Ability to travel nationally and internationally.
