We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain professional, who monitors supplier performance, conducts on site assessments, and engages suppliers in issue resolution. Utilizes Supplier Development Playbook and monitors and analyzes key performance indicators to drive improvement in collaboration with suppliers. Carrier Corporation is the world’s largest manufacturer of heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment. Reporting to the Residential Supply Chain Leader, the position will be responsible for managing daily tactical activities to support manufacturing continuity. Performing primarily tactical supply chain tasks, the position will manage and communicate all issues related to supply chain disruptions and be the first line of escalation for the Purchasing and Materials teams at the factories. The position shall also develop and maintain excellent supplier relationships, potentially develop existing and new sources, and develop sourcing strategies to continuously improve supply chain resiliency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily orders and shipments for high risk, high priority vendors and/or components.
- Take ownership of root cause analysis for high-risk suppliers.
- Conducts onsite assessments with the buyers, quality, and engineering teams to drive supplier improvement.
- Tracks and validates the impact of supplier shortages by maintaining supplier shortage war room data.
- Communicate current status and actions being taken for all suppliers impacting ability to meet customer demand
- Utilizes Supplier Development Playbook to improve supplier performance to Supplier Gold standards.
- Collaborates with suppliers to identify and remove barriers to the implementation of actions to improve on-time delivery and quality.
- Monitors supplier performance and applies sustainable countermeasures and actions in order to facilitate improvement.
- Conducts and participates in production readiness assessments for New Product Introduction and rate increases, including capacity confirmation to ensure a timely ramp-up to production volumes.
- Supports supply chain initiatives by monitoring key performance indicators, analyzing cost-to-serve performance data, and coordinating cross-functional work team.
- Engages key suppliers to initiate appropriate improvement programs to achieve and sustain high levels of performance.
- Utilize problem-solving skills and insistently attack problems facing the business.
- Provide category managers and buyers with current information, help needed, and potential solutions.
Required Qualifications –
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 3+ years of experience with material planning in a manufacturing environment
- 1+ years of experience working with Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and bills of material.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Access
- Power BI or similar data analytics is a benefit
- PLM, preferably Windchill, is a benefit
- ERPs, SAP, Glovia, BPIX experience is a benefit
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Ability to succeed in the day-to-day management of competing priorities
- Highly organized with strong attention to details
- Quantitative spreadsheet analysis
