About this role

Carrier HVAC in North America is dedicated to delivering excellence in supply chain management and building strong, collaborative relationships with our suppliers. We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Supplier Performance Manager to join our team. The Supplier Performance Manager focuses on ensuring supplier capability to deliver to demand and supplier performance, both are critical to our operational success. The Supplier Performance Manager will have cross cross-functional impact and work as an individual contributor.

This is a remote role for someone in the Eastern or Central time zone in the United States. Preference will be given to candidates from Kennesaw GA, Charlotte NC, Athens GA, Collierville TN, and Indianapolis IN.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the central point between Carrier and critical vendors to drive supplier performance and resiliency
  • Implement preventative and corrective measures to ensure on-time delivery of materials
  • Build, execute, and enforce Supplier Recovery Plans
  • Serve as an escalation point to ensure supplier performance is met
  • Provide regular updates to leadership on supplier performance status and recovery plans
  • Collaborate with internal functional teams and suppliers to drive supplier resiliency
  • Engage/partner with critical supplier leadership teams to identify and remove barriers

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of experience in supplier performance, purchasing for manufacturing or material planning
  • Travel to visit suppliers up to 50% of the time, mostly in North America but also to some international locations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or supply chain
  • Material planning or manufacture purchasing buyer experience
  • Experience in manufacturing and operations
  • Experience/certification in lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and/or Six Sigma
