About this role

This role is responsible for maintaining day-to-day activities including staffing and sourcing, talent development, performance programs, compensation, policy compliance, employee relations, and communications for Global Functions including Marketing, Communications, Business Development and Sustainability at Carrier.

The ideal candidate will be a strategic business partner that will provide HR client support and will interface extensively with senior leaders and employees across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements talent management, total rewards, and labor and employee relations programs using best practices to enhance employee engagement.
  • Addresses basic to complex HR-related inquiries from all levels of employees in multiple areas of the organization. Refers employees, as needed, to the applicable HR specialist.
  • Monitors market trends and implements HR plans to address development needs in an assigned department or business unit.
  • Manages the development of human resources documents, such as organizational charts, employee handbooks or directories, or performance evaluation forms.
  • Collaborates across functions and with Labor and Employee Relations specialists to understand and resolves complex employee relations issues.
  • Advises executives and managers within an assigned department or business unit on effective ways to conduct individual performance appraisals, based on input from Talent Management specialists.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 8+ years of progressive exempt-level Human Resources leadership experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A graduate degree in Business or Human Resources is preferred.
  • Demonstrated analytical thinking, problem-solving, decision-making, and judgment.
  • Experience working in one HR COE to include talent acquisition, labor relations, compensation and benefits, talent management, diversity and inclusion, and/or HR operations.
  • Experience defining, socializing, and implementing strategic HR initiatives. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives.
  • Knowledge of and experience with change management methodologies, processes, tools, and outcomes.
  • Experience with and ability to establish a strategy, lead, manage, influence and motivate colleagues, team members, stakeholders, and users to achieve results.
