About this role:
The ideal candidate will partner with business and cross-functional teams to develop and execute the strategic workforce planning program that drives recurring workforce planning activities, deliver workforce actionable planning insights and recommendations to the business as part of the planning process, and ultimately produces workforce demand plans as an output that addressed critical workforce gaps, support organizations workforce transformation, and align to company’s overarching workforce strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage the workforce planning cycle and support its programmatic efforts.
  • Develop, execute, and manage workforce planning cycle, end-to-end workforce planning project plans, and ensure on-time delivery.
  • Design, streamline, and scale the workforce planning processes.
  • Partner with other teams to maximize product support, workforce productivity, and the overall planning processes with the business.
  • Lead change management processes and policies as part of the process of developing the program.
  • Consult on best practices for workforce planning (location strategy, experience & talent mix of organization) with Org Leaders, Recruiting, and HR.
  • Workforce Planning Strategy Development & Preparation.
  • Partner with the People Analytics team to develop headcount reporting that supports data-driven decisions needed for workforce planning.
  • Conduct a workforce gap analysis, including size, composition, staffing, and skills/competencies gaps/surpluses.
  • Leverage workforce data to collaborate with HRBP, Org Leaders, Finance, People Analytics, and other cross-functional teams to drive workforce strategies including critical gaps, org design, and other key outcomes required.
  • Partner with Workforce Planning Data Analyst to assess the size and composition of the workforce and analyze the current and future workforce needs and priorities. Analyzing reports from any current or future system and finalizing demand model recommendations.
  • Execute Workforce Planning with Business and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Partner with business and cross-functional stakeholders to develop workforce plans that address critical gaps between the current workforce and anticipated future workforce needs.
  • Involve relevant cross-functional stakeholders to identify and prioritize workforce gaps. Identify strategies to address the workforce gap root causes. Partner across teams to develop and implement workforce action plans.
  • Manage cross-functional organization activities that support workforce strategies planned to ensure timely execution, progress, and program success. Partner in cross-functional collaboration across Finance, Recruiting, HR, and the Tech teams to bring everyone along in the process.
  • Workforce Management & Tracking, Program Process Improvements
  • Ability to dive into deeper reasons “why” and “how” workforce changes occurred that impact the organization.
  • Assess the effectiveness of the workforce planning effort, including collecting stakeholder feedback and/or satisfaction data throughout the workforce planning effort.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the workforce’s current state and make incremental success in the overall planning process.
  • Establish regular workforce planning reviews with stakeholders for tracking and changes.
  • Demonstrated relationship-building skills, with a superior ability to make things happen using positive influence.
  • History of making an impact, developing, and executing on strategies, and delivering superior results in both the short and long term
  • Develop and maintain working relationships with other businesses and cross-functional teams. Ability to work effectively and gain credibility and respect for others. Lead and persuade others while positively influencing the outcome of team efforts.
  • Develop a communication strategy to create shared expectations, promote transparency, and report progress to stakeholders.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 10 + years of experience managing complex, cross-functional programs
  • 1 + years of experience with workforce planning projects

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s degree
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience presenting to senior management.
  • Advanced organization skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, experience interpreting workforce plans and forecasts.

  • Experience with workforce planning or position management.
  • Experience with data/analytics models and tools.
  • Experience with Finance, HR, and Recruiting processes.
  • Experience working with engineering/technology teams.
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Experience in headcount management, people operations, recruiting, or HR.
  • Knowledge of Workday or other workforce planning technologies.
  • Experience telling a story using data and extracting key insights, helping stakeholders drive action.
  • Experience communicating complex ideas consistently and clearly.
  • Experience with change management related to process and policy updates.
