About this role
In this role you will work with the new product development teams to ensure compliance with UL/CSA standards and submit product to UL/CSA. Additionally, you will work with other certification bodies as needed.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Review test data to verify accuracy in the test procedure and system components
  • Support new product development product releases in addition to customer application issues and cost reduction efforts
  • Support projects with significant scope and complexity 
  • Support factory inspections and assist in resolving factory non-compliance matters
  • Support laboratory certifications and audits
  • Support Product Safety Office as required
  • Develop standard work and process workflows
  • Obtain safety certification for Carrier products by preparing project submittals and coordinating information between Carrier and safety Agencies to obtain product approvals
  • Coordinate test plans for new products/ new Standards when required
  • Coordinate with Safety Agencies in regards to new projects, plant inspections, and addressing non compliances
  • Ability to read and interpret relevant codes and standards.
  • Maintain product master listings files for appropriate products and certification bodies

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3+ years of experience in engineering

Preferred Qualifications

Other qualifications you may have that would be beneficial in this role include:

  • Previous HVAC industry experience preferred
  • Experience working with databases
  • Must be adaptable and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Ability to obtain and summarize data from various sources and package it in a clear format
  • Ability to plan and achieve goals with minimal supervision.
  • Team player mentality with strong skills and a demonstrated commitment to continuous process improvement.
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts to a wide variety of cross-functional resources.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to build relationships inside and outside the company
  • The candidate must be proficient in spoken and written English
  • Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States
