This position will report to the Chiller Engineering Design Manager and be responsible for mechanical design activities related to a new Air-Cooled chiller program. This role will receive direction from the 30RC (Air-Cooled – Scroll Compressor) Lead Design Engineer and work to establish strong relationships with all engineering, marketing, and operations team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produces drawings and BOMs using computer-assisted drafting systems (CAD) and PLM system
  • Designs and drafts components, assemblies and packing, and utilizes data management systems to track and report progress of assignments
  • Positions instructions and comments onto drawings
  • Completes design tasks using PLM workflows

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree in Engineering with 5+ years of experience having worked in a manufacturing company OR Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 3+ years of experience having worked in a manufacturing company
  • 3+ years of experience with CREO 4

Preferred Qualifications

  • Fully experienced with CREO 9 (minimum of 5 years with CREO)
  • Fully experienced with PDM Windchill – Version 12
  • Experienced with the bill of material structure and databases – Windchill BOM preferred.
  • Fully experienced with PDM Windchill – Version 11
  • Solid understanding and experience with drafting standards and procedures
  • Experienced with the bill of material structure and databases
  • Experience with change management and Engineering Change Requests & Engineering Change Notices
  • Proven experience with complex 3D parametric modeling
  • Experience with sheet metal design and manufacturing processes
  • Experience with piping design and manufacturing processes
  • Experienced with Top Level Assemblies and Large Assembly Management
  • Some experience with electrical components and subassemblies and their function a plus
  • General understanding and exposure to electro-mechanical control systems and components
  • Has in-depth knowledge of the discipline and design role
  • Responsible for the quality and accuracy of work and performance in meeting hardline schedule deliverables
