About this role:

Carrier/Kidde has an exciting opportunity for a Demand Planner at it's Mebane, NC location. This role supports the demand planning function needed to drive everyday business at Kidde.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build a mid to long-term unconstrained Demand Plan (quarter/year timeframe) to align operational capabilities with business strategic targets
  • Drive fast and real-time updates for Demand changes in the market, anticipate trends and risks, propose scenario analysis
  • Deliver short-term excellence in Forecast accuracy in line with business needs
  • Lead product transition phase-in / phase-out from a Demand Planning perspective and forecast accuracy optimization
  • Lead a cross-functional agenda to continuously shape-up Demand Plans according to the best supply chain and business environment conditions
  • Develop, implement and execute an agenda of continuous improvement - transformational and organic development
  • To be instrumental in a profitable demand-driven fulfillment operation

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 2+ years with demand planning or supply planning experience in a high-paced work environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master`s degree
  • APICS certification
  • Experience in SIOP (Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning) methodology
  • Strong analytical and Statistical methods
  • Ability to develop and implement Demand Segmentation to build a strong forecast
  • Understanding of business / go-to-market / supply chain end to end
  • Good understanding of product portfolio/market and channel/customer service
  • Good understanding of business financials and basic P&L construction
  • Ability to communicate/present in one-on-one, small group, or large group settings
  • A passion for the Demand Planning function and its continuous improvement
  • Manage multiple priorities
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Excel and/or Microsoft Access - presentation tools
  • Familiar with JDE, SAP / ERP or comparable ERP system - future development
