About this role

Carrier is seeking an engineering intern for the global laboratory engineering team in Engineering Operations. The candidate selected for this position will work within the group, supporting lab optimization planning and new test designs for new technology products. The candidate will engage with the global team and Carrier’s business units to understand the organization's needs and increase the efficiency of our global lab ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Candidate must have a sound understanding of mechanical assemblies.

  • Execute and report on projects assigned by the team leader.

  • Create and maintain the logistics of material movement throughout the laboratory when performing a test.

  • Perform product testing and document the overall process when needed.

  • Utilize standardized analysis software tools like Matlab or Excel, document reports, and present to leadership when needed.

Required Qualifications 

  • Pursuing Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related fields.

  • 3.0 or higher GPA

  • Applicant must be US Citizen or Permanent Resident

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Interest/experience in laboratory operations preferred

  • Interest in design for manufacturing

  • Experience with CAD and CAE tools is a plus

  • Strong team and interpersonal skills and ability to work with a variety of stakeholders

  • Ability to perform well working in teams, organize/lead teams, and mentor team members.

  • Strong organization and communication skills
