About This Role
Carrier is looking for a financial analyst to join our Sensitech team. This position will include business unit level experience with exposure to all functional areas of our Sensitech organization. The primary FP&A responsibilities include assembly, review, and analysis of financial data and providing inputs for financial analysis, audits, and projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with operational finance tasks including, but not limited to:
Analyzing financial data, trends, and KPI pertaining to monthly production outputs
Partnering with supply chain to report and forecast monthly inventory levels
Tracking direct spend
Developing an accurate accounts payable forecast model
Tracking capital expenditures vs. plan and updating forecast model based on approved spend
Streamlining reporting from newly implemented Ariba system to general ledger
Partner with accounting on month end close processes.
Support the creation of the annual operating / financial plan, long range strategic plan, and quarterly forecast processes.
Drive internal process improvements and continually identify opportunities for automation to allow the team to perform best-in-class analytics.
Understand key takeaways from financial analysis, effectively communicate underlying business drivers, and provide recommendations to senior management team.
Ad hoc analytics and other duties, including specials projects, as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
Preferred Qualifications:
Theoretical knowledge obtained through a University degree
Advanced excel skills
The ability to assess financial data, interpret trends, recognize inconsistencies, and provide actionable, data-driven recommendations to our senior management team.
Strong ability to anticipate questions and/or issues
Solid understanding of financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow)
Passion for achieving a high degree of accuracy and ownership
Excellent communication skills
