The Carrier Finance department, located in Indianapolis, IN has an opening for a Sr. Associate FP&A Analyst supporting the North American Residential and Light Commercial organization (NARLCS). This position will require interactions with finance contacts and other internal groups including Sales, Marketing, Engineering and Material Scheduling. This position operates in a rapidly changing environment and requires excellent time management and adaptability. The candidate should also demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to reporting accuracy and detail.
This role will support the NARLCS FP&A team in meeting cyclical reporting requirements and delivering valuable analytical support and partnership to the RLCS leadership team and larger organization.
Job Description

Evaluate actual monthly results and investigate variances to plan / prior year / prior estimates

Perform cash flow analytics and evaluation of working capital metrics, providing insight for the NARLCS FP&A leader and CFO for cash forecasting

Develop and load financial forecasts for various areas and planning cycles

Prepare / consolidate / support interim & daily reports for Residential product line's sales & spending

Prepare supplemental reporting for selling, capital, project, and research expenses, helping management to monitor actuals and finalize forecasts

Support preparation of leadership presentations for the yearly operating plan, long range plan and quarterly business reviews

Identify and implement process and reporting improvements

Perform special projects and ad hoc business/financial analysis where needed

Ability to develop and apply financial models

Strong financial/cost analysis and budgeting/forecasting skills

Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and ability to manage competing priorities

Microsoft Office Suite, HFM
Basic Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
-
2+ years of experience in an Accounting or Finance role
Preferred Qualifications

MBA
-
Working knowledge of US GAAP, financial analysis techniques, and budgeting/forecasting processes

Advanced knowledge of HFM, SAP, Excel and PowerPoint and BI Datawarehouse
