External Description:

Kidde Fire Systems is seeking a Business Development Manager to cover North American & International markets.  The main goal of this role is to generate new business, identify opportunities for growth into the portfolio.

Our fire protection solutions include conventional & intelligent detection and control systems which complement a complete line of fire suppression systems. Located in over 80 countries worldwide, our highly skilled Authorized Distributor network designs, installs and maintains these systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accelerate awareness and acceptance of Fluoro-K and Natura products in the North American & International markets.
  • Achieve sales quota for Fluoro-K and Natura products on quarterly basis.
  • Develop and manage “pipeline” to maximize revenue and profits.
  • Work with each Regional Sales Manager/Director in the development, commitment, and execution of Fluoro-K and Natura specific sales goals, annually.
  • Assist in distribution training on the Fluoro-K and Natura products to gain acceptance and market share.
  • Identify key end users and target markets to develop Fluoro-K and Natura opportunities in the North American & International markets.    
  • Plan and organize sales visits and provide regular reports, market information, competitor
  • Collaborate with Vertical Market Managers to develop sales strategies to improve Fluoro-K and Natura products in the North American & International markets.
  • Accurate and timely forecasting of sales opportunities.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5+ years of experience in clean agent suppression system sales in the Fire Protection Industry
  • 3+ Distribution/channel territory development experience required
  • Ability to travel a minimum of 60%

PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Engineering, or equivalent experience. 
  • Experience in preparing and presenting technical and sales presentations to distribution, end users, the A&E community, and other influencers
  • Excellent communication skills, written and oral
  • Ability to set priorities, multi-task and follow through on an assignment without redirection
  • Proven initiative, enthusiasm, organization, and creativity
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, & Outlook
