About this role
We are seeking a motivated, results-oriented college student to join our team for the summer of 2024. The Carrier internship experience offers interns an environment that provides practical, challenging, and meaningful on-the-job work experience, and the opportunity to apply knowledge and demonstrate strengths in efforts to assist Carrier in achieving its business strategy.
Associates will apply scientific principles to innovate, design, develop, and implement technologies, components, sub-systems, tools, and methodologies to ensure compliance with specifications, requirements, and best practices for product operation and reliability. Ensures novel ideas and implementations are captured and protected using applicable IP processes and tools.
Key Responsibilities
As a Gas Furnace Development intern, you will gain experience to include, but is not limited to activities and tasks listed below:
- Product design centering on a complex component, part of a larger project, or continuous improvement opportunity.
- Develop and document test procedures to evaluate new designs.
- Lead and/or support projects within combustion, air flow optimization, or data management.
- Work independently with guidance from senior engineers.
Required Qualifications
- Pursuing Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related fields
- 3.0 or higher GPA
- Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of combustion, fan/blower application, or data management and analysis principles (preferred but not required)
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Self-driven and proactive
- Ability to communicate effectively with peers and supervisors.
- Team player and willing to collaborate with others on projects.
