About This Role
The World Headquarter (WHQ) Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) department has an opening for a Senior Manager supporting Carrier’s global functional budgets and transformation. The global functional budget management is growing to approximately $1.5B as we transform the company to a functional cost structure.
This role will work with senior leadership, operating hubs and COE’s. This position will require interaction with all levels of the organization and operates in a rapidly changing environment and requires excellent time management and adaptability. The candidate should demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving, data acumen, with attention to accuracy and execution rigor.
Plays a pivotal role in shaping the financial health, strategic direction, and operational efficiency of the organization. Their work not only ensures that the company is financially sound but also contributes to its ability to adapt and thrive in a dynamic business environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Helps the organization make informed financial decisions by providing data-driven insights and analyses that enable the company to allocate resources effectively, identify cost-saving opportunities, and make strategic investments.
Responsible for creating and managing the budgeting and forecasting process. The accuracy and ability to predict financial performance greatly
Establishes key elements of operational plans for financial analysis, research, and forecasts to support short and long-term business goals and decisions.
Implements financial processes and systems to maximize the quality of financial reporting, analysis, budgeting and forecasting.
Manages creation and maintenance of financial models, variance analysis, and development of business cases and investment summaries.
Delivers reports and presentations to advise management on financial analysis, results and recommendations.
Provides consultation and guidance to functional or operational management on key financial issues and decisions.
Manages financial practices to ensure they are conducted accurately and are compliant with regulations, laws and standards.
Directs support for operation finance activities such as programs, pricing, sales and supply chain.
Leads large-scale projects. Develops analytical models to perform difficult financial analyses.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
8 or more years of accounting/finance experience with a knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
Preferred Qualifications:
Expertise in Hyperion Financial Management (HFM)
Experience with SAP a plus
Strong ability to work with both business and Functional stakeholders
Experience balancing numerous different priorities and demands
Quick and high-quality analysis and presentation creation using PowerPoint and advanced Excel
Experience supporting finance transformation projects a plus.
