About this role

This position is for a lead professional and recognized thoughtful leader in Materials Planning and SIOP who establishes and implements critical functional strategies and operational goals for the supply and demand planning process with medium to long-term impact on the organization. Responsible for improving upon existing processes and systems using significant conceptualizing, reasoning and interpretation. Collaborates with internal and external executive leadership to develop financial forecasts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leads in the implementation of strategies for materials planning and SIOP.
  • Spearheads implementing standardized processes within materials planning and SIOP in order to optimize the utilization of business resources and meet customer expectations for delivery.
  • Leads the implementation of indicators that enable visibility to short and long-term market trends and demand.
  • May oversee the analysis of identified demand streams and leads in the execution of data relationship linkages.
  • Collaborates with product development executive leaders and sales and marketing executives to develop demand forecasts.
  • Advises plant manufacturing operations on planning capacity and fulfillment demand.
  • Facilitates with manufacturing executives and leads in the implementation of monthly production volume planning using the business forecast, inventory position, actual customer orders, and the defined capacity parameters.
  • Leads the implementation of new technologies to improve materials planning and SIOP capability, sustainability, and reliability.
  • Implements metrics to drive results and continuous improvement.
  • Leads in the implementation processes and plans to improve supply capabilities.
  • Spearheads the execution of clear and robust metrics to measure progress through process improvements for SIOP.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 10+ years of experience in SIOP and/or Materials Planning role

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced Degree
  • Proven leadership experience
  • Knowledge of market and able to identify best practice and how to best utilize within Carrier
  • Practical knowledge of Carrier organization
  • Strong analytical problem-solving
