About this role
The SIOP Analytics and Reporting Lead is a pivotal role within Carrier Corporation, responsible for providing strategic leadership in data analytics and reporting for the Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) organization. This is a global position with a focus on understanding and prioritizing key analytics solutions across several independent business units from a Demand and Supply planning perspective. The role plays a central role in enhancing data-driven decision-making, optimizing operational efficiency, and driving global consistency in SIOP processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive global SIOP data analytics and reporting strategy aligned with Carrier Corporation's overarching business objectives.
- Ensure that the strategy addresses the unique needs and nuances of each independent business unit while maintaining a global perspective.
- Collaborate with the Digital organization to setup the data warehouse (in Snowflake)
- Lead and manage a global team of data analysts, data scientists, and reporting specialists.
- Define roles, responsibilities, and performance expectations for team members spread across different geographical locations.
- Oversee the development and implementation of advanced data analytics and predictive modeling techniques that enhance Demand and Supply planning on a global scale.
- Promote the use of machine learning and data science methodologies to improve forecasting accuracy and supply chain optimization.
- Manage the development and maintenance of global reporting systems, dashboards, and data visualization tools.
- Ensure that all independent business units have access to real-time insights and actionable reporting solutions.
- Collaborate closely with independent business units to align analytics and reporting initiatives with their unique requirements.
- Strive to achieve global consistency in SIOP processes while respecting regional and business-specific variations.
- Establish and enforce global data governance policies and practices to ensure data accuracy, security, and compliance.
- Maintain high-quality data for analysis and reporting across all regions.
- Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for SIOP effectiveness on a global scale.
- Continuously track, report, and compare KPIs to drive global performance improvements.
- Lead global data science and reporting projects, overseeing scoping, resource allocation, and project timelines.
- Prioritize projects that have the most significant impact on Demand and Supply planning.
- Effectively communicate complex technical concepts and findings to non-technical stakeholders on a global scale.
- Translate data-driven insights into actionable recommendations for decision-makers within diverse business units.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years of experience in data analytics and reporting with a track record of global leadership.
- 3+ years of experience with data warehousing, data cataloguing.
- 2+ years of leadership experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a related field is preferred.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and advanced analytics techniques.
- Strong project management and global team leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Strong business acumen specific to Inventory, Revenue, Units, and Margin
- Experience with advanced data analytics tools such as Python, R, or SAS for data analysis, modeling, and statistical analysis.
- Familiarity with machine learning algorithms, including supervised and unsupervised learning. Experience in model development, training, and deployment for predictive analytics.
- Knowledge or experience working with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics, to understand and integrate data from these systems into analytics and reporting solutions.
- Familiarity with supply chain and operations concepts, processes, and challenges, as well as experience in applying data analytics to address supply chain optimization.
- Relevant certifications in data science, data analytics or Microsoft Power BI certifications.
- Experience working in a global or multi-regional context, demonstrating an understanding of the complexities and challenges associated with global operations and supply chain management.
- Proven experience in change management, influencing organizational culture, and facilitating the adoption of data-driven decision-making practices.
- Knowledge and experience in data governance, data privacy regulations, and data security standards to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Previous leadership or managerial experience, particularly in leading cross-functional teams and global initiatives.
- A master's degree in a relevant field, such as Data Science, Business Analytics, or Business Administration (MBA), can be a preferred qualification.
- Domain-specific knowledge relevant to Carrier Corporation's industry, such as HVAC, refrigeration, or building automation systems, can be valuable.
