About this role:
Carrier is looking for software, electrical, mechanical, systems, and other engineering majors with demonstrated leadership ability and strong academic performance to join our competitive Carrier Engineering Leadership Program (ELP). The ELP offers new graduates an opportunity to deliver impactful contributions to strategic projects through three eight-month rotations across various Carrier business units.
Candidates selected for the program will receive front-line, hands-on, meaningful assignments designed to stretch their capabilities and accelerate their professional development. In addition to the hands-on experience, the program includes high-caliber training, mentorship, and guidance from our diverse team of Carrier executives and program alumni to build a strong and lasting global network of colleagues.
We are seeking a skilled software engineer to join our team developing Carrier’s eDesign building energy modeling software. This software is used by engineers designing energy efficient heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems for commercial and industrial buildings.
Please note: this role is part of Carrier’s Engineering Leadership Program (ELP). We are currently recruiting for the 2024 ELP Cohort to start at Carrier in June 2024.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze customer requirements and design software
Write clean, efficient, maintainable code that adheres to best practices.
Design and execute testing plans
Collaborate with other engineers
Document software designs and technical specifications
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical, software, electrical, systems, or other relevant engineering fields
To be eligible for the program, you must be a 2023 or 2024 graduate of the degree in the relevant field
3.0 or higher GPA
A minimum of one prior internship or co-op experience in a related field
Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship
Willing to rotate and relocate to US offices over the course of the two-year program
Ability to start position on Leadership Program start date in June 2024
