About This Role

Experienced Infrastructure professional. Oversees mapping the relationships between information systems components (i.e., Technology End Users, IT Systems Software & Hardware, and Info-Communications Transmission Networks).
 

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for developing globally adopted design engineering standards, deployment guidelines, implementation validation procedures, capacity management, and the research and development of new solutions across traditional and cloud networked environments.
• Responsible for project planning, cost analysis and vendor comparisons. Participate in 
  various RFP’s and evaluations of emerging network and communication technologies including AWS, Azure, OCI, SD-WAN, Wifi6, 5G, CBRS and others.
• Lead deployment teams across the global coordinating new technology deployments and technology upgrades supporting our on-going modernization effort.

Role Purpose:

• Position is one of a select group of lead network engineers within a growing global team driving change and digital transformation across the environment.
• Provide mentoring and various training of new design solutions and implementation guidelines. Embrace and lead with a proactive approach to network issues and risks including capacity management and issue detection. 
• Network lead in the CIB (Center for Intelligent Buildings), Carrier's flagship location, operating as a living lab which showcases Carrier's products in real-time throughout the location.

Required Qualifications:

• 7+ years prior Network Engineering professional experience
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree

Preferred Qualifications:

• CCIE, CCNP, PCNSE Certifications or path to receive
• Strong wireless design and implementation experience
