Det-Tronics is a $150M technologically innovative, projects-based global P&L protecting customers in many challenging environments with high end flame and gas detection products and systems. Det-Tronics has a global footprint with manufacturing sites in the U.S. and sales presence in all key geographies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work on Preventive maintenance activities
- Installation of Software updates / Patches on Shop Floor Machines
- Ability to troubleshoot and fix hardware devices, Production PC operating system issues, production software applications, and help with network related issues. Must be able to distinguish troubleshooting between a hardware or software issue.
- Document items worked and issues resolved and open items to enable root cause analysis and Preventive actions.
- Assist with troubleshooting efforts impacting manufacturing until root-cause is identified.
- Ability to prioritize and balance the demands based on priority.
- Ability to adjust and adapt to changes in a fast-paced environment.
- Reporting to Det-Tronics IT Leader
Required Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED
- 3+ years of experience supporting manufacturing information technology in a Manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Clear knowledge and understanding of network topology LAN, WAN and Wireless Technologies
- Good oral and written communication skills when interacting with factory personnel and ability to articulate manufacturing issues to escalate support issues.
- Highly motivated with the ability to complete work on time without supervision.
- Previous manufacturing environment experience troubleshooting and implementing barcode scanning technology (1D and 2D), manufacturing label print technology from various vendors (Zebra, Intermec, Thermal Printers).
- Knowledge and understanding of MS Access DB (Very important)
- Knowledge and understanding how databases work with Microsoft SQL 2012, 2014, 2016, 2019.
- Knowledge and understanding how Windows Server 2012, 2016 and 2019 operate.
