Excellent opportunity for highly motivated individual to assume Tax Director role within the Finance organization. The organization offers opportunity to be part of a new tax department, with opportunities to help create and form the tax function and aide in a successful transition of the Industrial Fire business from Carrier to Sentinel Capital Partners in Q3 2024.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage income tax compliance data gathering and third-party preparation of the Federal and State income tax returns
- Review of federal and state income tax returns
- Support Federal and State income tax audits
- Support tax modeling process
- Manage the Quarterly and Year-end closing processes
- Support international aspects of ASC 740 reporting, including all requisite analyses, disclosures, and management communications
- Manage cash flow projections
- Manage transfer pricing documentation requirements globally and ensure implementation of consistent transfer pricing policies
- Manage worldwide Pillar 2 tax computations and compliance
- Maintain Controls’ requirements
- Establish and maintain best practices documentation
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors’ Degree
- 10+ years of compliance/reporting experience in a large, multi-national, corporate tax or accounting firm environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors’ or advanced degree in accounting. Advanced tax degree would be a plus
- Willingness to understand major steps in compliance process, from data sourcing through filing and tax account activity
- Ability to identify and implement continuous process improvements
- Operative understanding of tax cycle from planning through audit
- Ability to understand complex tax concepts and apply those concepts to minimize taxes
- Working knowledge of all major areas of tax law affecting multinational companies
- Understanding of the impact of taxes on the financial statements, and ability to combine tax and accounting knowledge to improve business results
- Ability and desire to communicate, collaborate, and coordinate with others throughout the Finance organization
- Operates with a sense of urgency
- Ability to motivate others to work towards established deadlines
- Good business sense and creative problem-solving skills
- Passion for understanding processes and continuous process improvement
