About this role

The Associate District Sales Manager will be working towards achieving revenue growth for the Kidde ESD & Kidde FX business within the Northern California/Central Valley. Be the owner of specifically assigned customers in the Northern California location. Responsible for revenue for the assigned Distribution Channels/FX products. Support and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue growth. The Associate District Sales Manager should understand the fire market and report on business dynamics (share, competition, top customers, top prospects, etc.) in this area.

This is a 100% remote role and includes 65% traveling. The Associate District Sales Manager needs to be located in the Bay area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and grow existing customer base
  • Develop and establish new Kidde ESD partners and Kidde FX OTC customers
  • Implement /train new channel partners and new employees on System Builder Class (estimating software)
  • Manage the new product rollouts i.e. new control panels, notification devices,
  • Work closely with Distribution team members to find new channel distribution partners
  • Attend trade shows as required
  • Participate in Distribution visits, lunch and learns, NICET training, and FX promotion(s)

Basic Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2+ Years of experience selling in the Fire Alarm Industry, Security, or Technical Industry
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Willingness to travel up to 65% in assigned territory

  • Ability to influence and work cross-functionally in order to establish new processes that will achieve the desired commercial outcomes with your customers
  • Clear thinker:  translating goals and plans into actions, self-starter and reliable with the aptitude to work autonomously
  • Excellent interpersonal and client relation skills: Ability to build and maintain relationships at the senior level
  • Curious and entrepreneurial mind: Experience in designing and executing customer growth initiatives, promotions and implementing strategic sales plans
  • Strong teamwork skills and English communication/presentation skills
  • Convey sales competency excellence in the following areas: Commercial Excellence / Customer Management / Customer Relationships / Industry Expertise / Product Knowledge / Personal Effectiveness / Business Acumen / Leadership
