About this position
This position will be responsible for leading our 2nd shift operations. You will be responsible for all aspects of production including materials, safety, and quality, while ensuring an environment of trust, respect and empowerment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate a clean, organized and safe working environment for all employees.
- Develop an environment that champions high employee morale promoting fair and equal treatment while also driving results
- Balance safety, morale, quality, productivity, and cost to achieve positive results in all areas, with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Develop and execute daily plan considering vacations, scheduled & unscheduled absenteeism, and over-time within budget and adhering to company policies.
- Reconcile inventory discrepancies as needed using the plant’s inventory management system.
- Ensure accurate records and timely approval for team members hours worked.
- Ensure that each person on shift is trained and knows how to do the job correctly per the work instructions.
- Monitor personnel performance and develop actions that continue to enhance their skills, knowledge and motivation on the job.
- Execute the production schedule and coordinate manpower needs accordingly.
- Facilitate the continuous improvement efforts for the shift using the plant’s Carrier Excellence methodology.
Additional Responsibilities
There could be times that the position holder will be asked to perform miscellaneous other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED and 5+ years experience in production supervision, or Associate Degree with 2+ years experience in production supervision.
- 2+ years experience using Microsoft Office programs in a manufacturing environment.

- Ability to accomplish goals using a team-based approach.
- Ability to develop talent from within the team.
- Ability to motivate and inspire the team.
- Experience with Lean manufacturing tools and methodology.
