About this role

Carrier Human Resources Total Rewards has an opportunity for a Senior Manager – Total Rewards.

Reporting to the Director, Global Compensation Strategy and Governance, the Senior Manager - Total Rewards is responsible for global projects relating to designing, implementing and administering compensation programs, including job architecture, competitive benchmarking, the annual compensation planning cycle and incentive plans.

The Senior Manager – Total Rewards is an individual contributor with strong cross-functional influence within the global organization.

We are open to receive candidates who work remotely from anywhere in the USA, but preference will be given to candidates that can work onsite/hybrid in Palm Beach Gardens, FL.

Key Responsibilities

Global Compensation Program Management & Strategy

  • Provide consultative expertise in global compensation program design and strategy decisions across diverse businesses, industries, and go-to-market strategies
  • Collaborate with global HR stakeholders to ensure efficient use of funds in support of the company's pay-for-performance philosophy
  • Perform analysis and modeling to support recommendations and drive organizational consensus
  • Support the Global Total Rewards team on compensation reviews and initiatives
  • Support the design and execution of the annual compensation planning cycle globally
  • Identify process improvements and establish strong process governance to ensure strategic allocation of rewards
  • Continuously gather and assess customer feedback and review Communities of Expertise (COE) compensation processes to improve, automate, and augment the quality, accuracy, and value of services and information provided

Market Benchmarking & Insights

  • Utilize benchmarking resources, review, interpret, and report key trends and market insights
  • Manage market competitive benchmarking projects and processes, ensure timely program delivery

Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations through proactive review, audit, and analysis of pay programs across the region
  • Maintain robust governance across compensation programs
  • Proactive record, assess, and make recommendations on governance practices
  • Identify potential problems and provide recommendations for proactively addressing potential issues
  • Support key initiatives around pay transparency and equity

System Optimization

  • Contribute to the ongoing optimization of Workday core compensation and advanced compensation functionalities

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 7+ years of HR/compensation experience including the management of base pay and incentive pay

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in business administration, finance, or HR 
  • MBA or equivalent
  • Professional certification i.e. CCP: Certified Compensation Professional; GRP: Global Remuneration Professional; SPHR: Senior Professional in Human Resources; GPHR: Global Professional in Human Resources
  • Apply compensation expertise and influence senior customers across diverse businesses, industries, locations and demographics
  • Analytical and organization skills and able to make informed, data-driven decisions
  • Ability to interface globally with executives and all other levels across the organization
  • Project management skills 
  • Lead change management activities
  • Expert in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point
  • Experience with Workday, MarketPay, Mercer’s International Position Evaluation (IPE) systems or comparable systems
