About This Role
The Account Manager will be responsible for maintaining and growing all facets of the customer relationship to drive world class customer satisfaction within the Residential business segment. They will promote Carrier Controls’ capability to increase revenue and market share, support segment needs for quality, delivery, quoting, and new business opportunities. They will also drive and monitor actions within cross-functional business teams.
The available opportunity is a critical and comprehensive role within Carrier’s fast-paced and growing Residential controls market. It requires a self-directed leader for achieving and exceeding product and business growth targets while simultaneously driving improved quality, delivery, demand planning and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Satisfaction:
- Hold regular customer status reviews via video conferencing and regular customer visits. Drive customer satisfaction to an extremely satisfied level. Maintain customer dashboards, action registers and track customer initiatives.
Quality:
- Work with customer factories to ensure products meet quality expectations. Define project requirements, priorities and provide overall direction to help coordinate initiatives being led by quality engineers.
Delivery:
- Review customer account monthly on time delivery reports and work with Carrier Controls delivery assurance and logistics teams to achieve 100% OTD. Work with delivery assurance, manufacturing, and sourcing to expedite customer requests or handle the resolution of problem shipments.
Forecasting:
- Work with customer accounts monthly to generate an accurate 18 month rolling forecast and reconcile forecast accuracy. Provide market intelligence for each business area to support monthly forecast adjustments Work with customers to understand and manage their demand under Carrier’s SIOP demand management policy.
Quoting:
- Work with product management and finance to determine customer pricing. Generate quote letters for product updates and new product introductions. Review and update product transition plans with delivery assurance and the demand planning team.
New Business:
- Identify new business opportunities and support the product manager developing Business Opportunity Proposals and engineering development plans. Identify opportunities to grow segment sales year over year.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3+ years’ experience in HVAC Controls

- Self-motivated to achieve annual goals and objectives
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to influence customer's key decision-makers
- Excellent writing, communication & presentation skills
