About This Role:
The Carrier North American Residential Solutions strategy team is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Strategy and Market Intelligence Manager. This high visibility role will be responsible for tracking, aggregating, reporting, and summarizing applicable market statistics, economic data, and industry trends. Additionally, this role collaborates with business unit leadership on projects focused on identifying and communicating growth opportunities and develops presentations to communicate business unit strategy and performance. The role requires strong organizational and analytical skills, attention to detail and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of designated markets and trends through monitoring industry reports, market research, and relevant macroeconomic data, most notably from S&P IHS and the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB)
- Report Carrier-specific data to industry associations such as the Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) and Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Institute of Canada (HRAI)
- Represent Carrier as the subject matter expert on industry association data reporting subcommittees
- Thoroughly and systematically analyze key industry trends, the general social economic and political environment, as well as legal and regulatory issues that will or may impact Carrier’s North America residential business unit
- Provide market insights and reports to senior management and various internal management teams to allow effective strategic and tactical decision-making
- Assist departmental leadership with evaluating, executing, and reporting on key strategic projects and departmental priorities
- Coordinates and manages special projects and presentations on a regular basis and serves as a focal point for the organization
- Support the transformation of the market intelligence team by creating innovative and sustainable digital / automated operations to make data access simple, efficient, and ubiquitous across the organization, ideally deploying a self-service model
- Aggressively identify opportunities to leverage and deploy AI tools across the business as a differentiator, including the utilization of Microsoft 365 Copilot
- Build strong relationships across the business and work with diverse cross functional teams to deliver on market intelligence and strategy projects
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 2+ years of experience developing executive-level communications and presentations
- 3+ years of advanced knowledge and work in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- 3+ years of proven analytics skills, with the ability to transform data into meaningful and actionable insights
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree, preferably in Business Administration or Data Science/Analytics
- Experience with business intelligence, analytics and data visualization tools such as Power BI, think-cell, Alteryx, Tableau, and SAS
- Effective communication – Demonstrated ability to communicate complex information clearly, succinctly, and accurately to a variety of audiences both orally and through written material
- Innovative problem-solving – Ability to think outside the box, innovate, take risks, and implement progressive, sustainable solutions
- Deliver results – Proven ability to execute with speed and exhibit a bias for action mindset
- Customer focus – Passion for customers including ability to act quickly, solve problems and exceed expectations
- An ability to work collaboratively and deliver results both in-person and through virtual collaboration environments leveraging platforms such as Microsoft Teams
- FP&A or P&L forecasting experience
