About this role
This Digital Product Owner will support the strategy, delivery, and evolution of Carrier’s Abound HVAC Performance (AHP) platform, with a focus on connected equipment connectivity, onboarding, diagnostics, analytics, and emerging AI-enabled capabilities. The role sits at the intersection of product strategy and technical execution, supporting the team in defining what to build and how success is measured.
This role partners closely with Product Management, Engineering, Architecture, UX, and business stakeholders to translate service, operational, and customer needs into clearly defined product initiatives, epics, and outcomes. While this role does not own day-to-day backlog management or Jira ticket creation, it contributes technical and analytical depth and supports alignment between roadmap intent and delivered solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Support product delivery by contributing to requirements definition, backlog grooming, and acceptance criteria documentation.
Translate business, customer, and operational needs into clear user stories and actionable product requirements in collaboration with Product Management and Engineering.
Manage multiple workstreams with attention to detail, ensuring tasks and documentation stay organized in a fast-paced, technically complex environment.
Partner with engineering teams within Agile/Scrum development processes to support sprint planning, story refinement, and delivery.
Use data to evaluate feature outcomes, surface trade-offs, and support prioritization decisions with the product team.
Collaborate across cross-functional teams and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to keep work aligned and moving forward.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Business, Technology or any related field.
1+ year of work experience in one of Carrier's Early Careers Leadership Programs (LPs).
Currently enrolled in one of Carrier's Leadership Programs (LPs) with successful completion in June 2026.
Applicant must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
Preferred Qualifications
1-2 years of experience in product management and/or software engineering roles.
Exposure to connected products, IoT platforms, or cloud-based systems.
Experience supporting AI-enabled or data-driven product features.
Working knowledge of cloud-based architectures (e.g., AWS) and how they support modern digital products.
Experience working in Agile development environments, using tools such as Jira and Confluence.
Familiarity with product design tools (e.g., Figma) and analytics tools used to support discovery, delivery, and measurement (e.g., LogRocket).
Willingness to ask questions, seek feedback, and drive alignment.
