Specific responsibilities for the Regional Operations & Maintenance Manager include:
- Lead/manage a regional team of professional managers and technicians at multiple project locations in the U.S. Set performance goals, conduct performance reviews, and submit appropriate salary/bonus recommendations for assigned employees.
- Provide technical and administrative support and direction to project managers and technicians.
- Ensure contract deliverables are understood and met for each assigned project.
- Enforce NORESCO's safety and ethical policies and procedures.
- Effectively implement preventative/corrective maintenance tasks according to OEM and industry best practices.
- Conduct root cause analysis and technical troubleshooting to ensure problems are corrected and not repeated.
- Meet economic performance objectives (savings verified by the Measurement and Verification (M&V) team) for each assigned project.
- Negotiate sub-contractor service agreements including pre-qualification, work-scope, and terms and conditions. Partner with NORESCO legal team to review/approve contracts.
- Work with sales, development, engineering, and construction on the development of future O&M projects.
- Develop an annual O&M budget for each assigned project. Conduct monthly review of budget variances (actual vs expected) and report reasons for discrepancies.
- Assist with developing and delivering educational training programs for systems/equipment associated with each project.
- Travel to assigned projects to consult with customers, O&M managers, O&M field personnel, and subcontractors to ensure business objectives are understood and met.
- Ensure the utilization of computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to track preventative maintenance, repairs, and replacement activities as required.
- Effective communicate items of importance to key stakeholders.
Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years of field experience in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing utility assets-HVAC, mechanical/electrical systems.
- 3+ years of experience working with, training, directing, and leading technical field personnel.
- 3+ years of working knowledge of DDC controls systems
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications:
- BA/BS Engineering or business degree preferred
- A solid understanding of safety best practices and building/cultivating a safety culture.
- Business acumen including finance, operations, leadership, and management.
- Analytical problem-solving skills required.
- Setting and achieving performance goals.
- Candidates must be proficient in written/oral communications and presentation skills to effectively communicate to a wide variety of stakeholders with diverse background at all levels of the company.
- Possess strong interpersonal skills
- Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite applications.
