Key Responsibilities -

  • Meet contract demands for steam, chilled water, cooling water, deionized water and compressed air,
  • Provide daily direction and leadership to a team of skilled trades and subcontractors.
  • Manage environmental, health, and safety (EHS) programs and ensure all federal, state, local, and regulations and corporate policies are implemented and followed.   
  • Develop and implement a corrective/preventative maintenance program to optimize equipment performance and reliability.
  • Develop an annual capex and operating budget with the focus on accuracy and timing.
  • Assist in developing plans for major shutdowns. Manage contracted resources and schedules and unplanned maintenance work.
  • Maintain historical operating data and work with the measurement & verification team to analyze and maximize operating efficiencies.
  • Assist with technical troubleshooting.
  • Analyze processes and develop new operation techniques based on industry best practices.
  • Create new standard operation procedures (SOP) aligned with OEM recommendations.
  • Review operating logs to monitor equipment conditions and identify/correct gaps in operation and performance.
  • Provide limited after-hours and weekend support as required.  
  • Engage with customer and NORESCO business unit to ensure alignment and execution of goals.
  • Review information from oil sample analysis, operating data, and field reports, to ensure corrective measures are implemented as required.  
  • Ensure warranties are claimed in a timely manner and operational issues are effectively resolved.
  • Participate in regular meetings to ensure alignment of financial and operational goals.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5+ years of utility plant O&M experience
  • 2+ years as Plant or Assistant Plant Manager, Plant Engineer, management role in a utility plant organization. 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS in Mechanical, Electrical or Marine Engineering or commensurate experience required.
  • Candidates must have demonstrated experience in the operation, maintenance and management of Steam, Central Heat and Power or Combined Cycle plants. 
  • Experience and technical competence in steam, cooling water, deionized water and compresses air systems and instrument, controls, electrical distribution and balance of plant equipment and systems.  Additionally, experience and knowledge in boilers, combustion and steam turbines, and auxiliary systems operations and maintenance are preferred.
  • Fully competent in the management and methods for the pre-treatment and chemical treatment applied to water, steam, condensate, and wastewater in a utility plant.
  • Proven and demonstrated success with the administration, implementation and management of Energy Services Contracts, OEM Long Term Services Agreements, Contracted Services Agreements.
  • Proven success with the administration, implementation and management of corporate EH&S, accounting and regulatory compliance policies.
