About this role

Manages a large team of both experienced professionals and team leaders in Materials Planning and SIOP. Establishes key elements of short to medium-term tactical and operational plans including storing and shipping of products, leading activities, responding to complex inquiries, and ensuing quality of work. Implements inventory control reports and manuals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cultivate relationships with Procurement, Sales, Operations and Product Management to formulate and drive demand, supply, and executive SIOP process for Replacement Components.
  • Manage team of both experienced professionals and team leaders, and own the execution of long-term strategy.
  • Implement plans and prepare data for purchased parts, subassemblies, end items and other parts as required working with planning system software (ketteQ).
  • Responsible for the implementation of the capacity management process, including identification of capacity gaps to ensure successful execution of customer demands in support of SIOP.
  • Manage the transportation and delivery of inter/intra-plant parts and outbound finished products.
  • Manage inter/intra-plant work in process (WIP), promise dating, and expedite orders to ensure on-time delivery and flow.
  • Responsible for the implementation of plans to minimize risks for shortages and ensures successful customer delivery.
  • Responsible to manage to and achieve inventory target goals set by the business.

Basic Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree
  • 4+ years of experience encompassing the SIOP process
  • 3+ years of people management experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • BA/BS Degree in Logistics or Business preferred
  • MBA/Masters degree in Logistics or Business
  • Experience with materials planning application (e.g. ketteQ)
  • Knowledge of optimal planning processes & disciplines.
  • Excellent proven analytical skills.
  • Ability to drive change and provide leadership across a dispersed organization.
  • Ability to set clear expectations, support & develop employees and hold them accountable to clear objectives & expectations.
  • Ability to analyze disparate information and draw conclusions/recommendations.
  • Knowledge and experience with demand forecasting (statistical and business process).
  • Strong verbal, written and inter-personal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Access, Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
