About this role
Carrier has an opportunity for an individual contributor to lead the business aspects of Senior Manager, Quality Engineering and Analytics in the Quality organization. This position will be a direct report to the Director of Enterprise Quality at the new Center for Intelligent Buildings in Palm Beach Gardens or one of our other facilities in Florida. If you are willing to work in a fast-paced global environment, able to raise issues openly and have the ability to influence people that do not work for you, then you should apply! We also require prior Quality experience in the aftermarket or manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Able to understand how products are applied in the field and convert service information and customer feedback into actionable analysis that can be used to drive reduction in Cost of Quality and Defects
Drive Quality improvement at a Global Level with i.e. Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain using data
Able to package analysis and investigation into reports that can be used to further develop improvement in Design for Quality, and Design for Manufacturing
Co-owner of Manufacturing Sites Quality Metrics reporting, analysis & benchmarking
Create visual analytics reports using Microsoft Power BI
Project manage large-scale digital implementation projects
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Mathematics or Computer Science
- 10 plus years’ experience in engineering, manufacturing, or service & aftermarket
Preferred Qualifications
Other qualifications you may have that would be beneficial in this role include:
- Master’s or PHD degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial/Quality), Computer Science, Mathematics, or Statistics
- Ability to Manage complex projects/program management
- Six Sigma Black Belt, or advance knowledge in Data Analysis
- Aftermarket business and experience working on customer issues
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in SharePoint, Office 365, Power BI, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and mathematical/programming applications
- Knowledge with API, cloud computing, and databases
- Creative and innovative mindset, and ability to aggressively develop programs and processes
- Self-directed with attention to detail
- English communication skills, fluency in an additional language will be an advantage
