About this role:
Carrier is looking for software, electrical, mechanical, systems, and other engineering majors with demonstrated leadership ability and strong academic performance to join our competitive Carrier Engineering Leadership Program (ELP). The ELP offers new graduates an opportunity to deliver impactful contributions to strategic projects through three eight-month rotations across various Carrier business units.
Candidates selected for the program will receive front-line, hands-on, meaningful assignments designed to stretch their capabilities and accelerate their professional development. In addition to the hands-on experience, the program includes high-caliber training, mentorship, and guidance from our diverse team of Carrier executives and program alumni to build a strong and lasting global network of colleagues.
We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our Commercial HVAC business. Associates will apply scientific principles to innovate, design, integrate, and implement technologies, components, sub-systems, and systems to ensure compliance to specifications, requirements, agency requirements and customer.
Please note: this role is part of Carrier’s Engineering Leadership Program (ELP). We are currently recruiting for the 2024 ELP Cohort to start at Carrier in June 2024.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, design, integrate and test electrical components within equipment requirements
Support Hardware Requirement Specification (HRS).
Develop product documentation and literature, including electrical and physical data tables
Support product integration to specifications while using cost effective and efficient means
Support HIL / PXI test cases automation
Analyze and evaluate new or improved components
Support Electrical Schematic development
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical, software, electrical, systems, or other relevant engineering fields
To be eligible for the program, you must be a 2023 or 2024 graduate of the degree in the relevant field
3.0 or higher GPA
A minimum of one prior internship or co-op experience in a related field
Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship
Willing to rotate and relocate to US offices over the course of the two-year program
Ability to start position on Leadership Program start date in June 2024

Knowledgably in CAD system
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Self-driven and proactive
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
