About this role:
Carrier is looking for software, electrical, mechanical, systems, and other engineering majors with demonstrated leadership ability and strong academic performance to join our competitive Carrier Engineering Leadership Program (ELP). The ELP offers new graduates an opportunity to deliver impactful contributions to strategic projects through three eight-month rotations across various Carrier business units.
Candidates selected for the program will receive front-line, hands-on, meaningful assignments designed to stretch their capabilities and accelerate their professional development. In addition to the hands-on experience, the program includes high-caliber training, mentorship, and guidance from our diverse team of Carrier executives and program alumni to build a strong and lasting global network of colleagues.
We are seeing a Software Engineer to join our Commercial HVAC business. Associates will apply software engineering skills to provide innovative software solutions that assist in the selection, configuration, and pricing of Carrier’s commercial HVAC equipment. These solutions are used by Carrier’s salesforce and are a key component in the sales process. This position will provide experience with a variety software engineering domains.
Please note: this role is part of Carrier’s Engineering Leadership Program (ELP). We are currently recruiting for the 2024 ELP Cohort to start at Carrier in June 2024.
Key Responsibilities
Design, development, and test cloud-based software employing ReactJS (for user interfaces) and C# (for backend components).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product marketing, software designers, and software development teams) to create solution that meet customer requirements
Ensure a rigorous automated quality assurance process is established for each new tool
Collaborate with peers to improve software quality, efficiency, and performance
Daily participation in the department’s agile software development process.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical, software, electrical, systems, or other relevant engineering fields
To be eligible for the program, you must be a 2023 or 2024 graduate of the degree in the relevant field
3.0 or higher GPA
A minimum of one prior internship or co-op experience in a related field
Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship
Willing to rotate and relocate to US offices over the course of the two-year program
Ability to start position on Leadership Program start date in June 2024

Familiarity with AWS or Azure cloud environments
Familiarity with scrum process
