The Service Manager - Post Sales Support will lead a team and support and assist internal Carrier, Bryant, and Payne (CBP) and International Comfort Products (ICP) staff and field technical service managers with product issue resolution initiatives. Lead and support the team, processes, and methods to ensure company objectives in the areas of service, training, quality, and customer satisfaction are met.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a small team of engineers.
  • Respond to customer technical inquiries by CRM, phone and e-mail while providing product technical troubleshooting and application support to internal customers and field technical service managers.
  • Provide service and application support as part of the product design launches, including literature, and technical training program materials.
  • Help identified teams to qualify, quantify and work to resolve field product issues.  
  • Works with moderate guidance on projects with short-term focus.


Level of Responsibility:

  • Manage team and project deliverables required by Service.  
  • Manage the Cooling and Heating IRP meetings and their deliverables.
  • Manage and create CRM case reports to communicate to leadership.
  • Responsible for small projects or multiple tasks within functional discipline.
  • Lead and support service field communications (TICs, SMBs and WTYs) when necessary.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree with 5+ years HVAC experience OR Bachelor’s Degree with 2+ years HVAC experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exceptional customer service skills required.
  • Excellent oral, written and presentation communication skills.
  • Must be self-directed with a desire to work within a fast-paced team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS:

Electronics controls, low voltage circuitry and experience working with HVAC product experience is beneficial (design, application or field service related).

The incumbent in this role will be responsible for complying with Carrier’s Code of Ethics, Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) policy and applicable regulatory and Company rules and requirements.  Carrier is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
