About this role

HVAC Residential and Light Commercial Operations (Quality) has an opportunity for a Manager - Quality Assurance to join the team onsite in Indianapolis IN.

This role will require you to lead the Residential quality and manufacturing integration (Quality Operations, QOPS) process focusing on preventing quality issues during the project implementation and tollgate process. You will act as a quality and governance coach as well as a quality and manufacturing integration (QOPS) facilitator for both heating and cooling Residential Products. This will include evaluating project deliverables, quality assessments and plans. Additionally, you will manage several quality engineers who will be supporting various project teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the quality and manufacturing integration (QOPS) process
• Coach project teams to ensure that quality and manufacturing integration (QOPS) deliverables are met
• Identify project risks and required action plans
• Partner with manufacturing to schedule and manage the design and manufacturing quality events
• Create quality plans and review/approve quality deliverables
• Provide coaching to project teams on quality skills and the project tollgate process
• Determine appropriate governance levels for projects
• Head the Safe Launch activities
• Manage direct reports including employee development

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree
• 5 years plus of experience in quality assurance

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree – engineering or technical
• Master Degree
• Product development exposure
• Worked with Advance Product Quality Planning (APQP), FMEA, Quality Assurance concepts, practices, testing tools and methodologies
• Project risk management and tollgate experience
• Team facilitation 
• Cross-functional interaction
• Written and verbal communication in English
• Problem-solving and multi-tasking skills
• Detail-oriented with the ability to drive tasks to completion on schedule
• 6 Sigma or similar statistical quality training
