About this role

LenelS2 wants to add a highly skilled Senior Supplier Quality Assurance Specialist to the team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supplier quality assurance processes and methodologies, with a focus on ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. This is a hybrid role for someone located close to either Pittsford NY or Salem OR.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take ownership for the supplier quality program
  • Maintain processes supporting supply chain and operations escalation to engage suppliers for corrective actions and issue SCARs
  • Act as the technical liaison between engineering (NPI), supply chain, and operations
  • Collaborate with engineering to resolve design risks, failures, and manufacturability issues through supplier controls
  • Investigate and disposition non-conforming materials from production, NPI pilot builds, field failures or new supplier sourcing
  • Lead technical reviews of new components and existing components with suppliers and engineering
  • Follow Carrier Excellence standards for qualification and validation of changes before production launch
  • Complete PPAP, 8D, Root Cause Analysis (RRCA), containment plans for engineering, supply chain and operations programs
  • Monitor supplier’s performance to the required quality standards
  • Drive improvement plans for at-risk and probationary suppliers
  • Provide monthly metrics and detailed reports/scorecards to leadership
  • Review standard operating procedures (SOPs) for best practices and suitability for meeting quality needs; revise and implement changes
  • Ensure suppliers maintain ISO 9001 certification, on-going lean activities, and comply with Carrier Excellence standards
  • Perform on-site or remote (desktop) audits for key suppliers and probationary suppliers.
  • Complete capability assessments for suppliers to support supply chain and engineering for sourcing opportunities

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3 years plus experience in quality, engineering, electro-mechanical product manufacturing, or supplier quality management
  • Up to 25% local and international travel

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical, manufacturing, industrial), quality, or supply chain
  • Knowledge of electro-mechanical assembly manufacturing control and quality problem-solving tools, i.e., 8D, corrective/ preventive action, FMEA
  • Analytical and diagnostic skills
  • Statistical process control (SPC)
  • ISO 9001 and Lean quality system knowledge. (Certified Six Sigma Black or Green Belt)
  • Interpersonal skills, able to communicate cross-functionally in a matrix organization
