About this role

Carrier Climate Controls & Security (Aftermarket and Services) has an opportunity for a senior service engineering professional with strong knowledge and highly developed HVAC technical expertise in the field. In this role, the focus will be on being the subject matter expert for technical issues, provide solutions, develop work standard processes and train stakeholders.  The candidate must maintain effective communication and frequent contact with key customers and field team members. Primary duties include supplying technical solutions and guidance to field members, assisting with advanced troubleshooting, communicating technical and product information to the field, and reporting on technical issues to management and key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• A subject matter expert to solve problems, provide solutions, develop work standard processes and training on HVAC Chiller maintenance/installation problems
• Respond to field requests for technical help
• Assist with urgent job site issues
• Conduct technical training classes with the field
• Perform research on refrigerant and component upgrades
• Lead first-time start-up activities for new chiller models
• Program control modules
• Serve as a lead technical resource on large turnkey projects
• Develop service product upgrades
• Large equipment sales project support
• Assist with non-destructive testing 
• Research replacement for obsolete parts

Basic Qualifications

• 5 years plus experience in Commercial HVAC field services
• High School diploma

Preferred Qualifications

Other qualifications you may have that would be beneficial in this role include:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
• Proficiency with office applications such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
• Able to work both independently and as part of a team
