About this role

Carrier Transicold Truck/Trailer is looking for a 2nd Shift Logistics Supervisor at our facility in Jefferson, GA.

The 2nd Shift Logistics Supervisor plays a pivotal role in ensuring the distribution/warehouse functions are optimal at our facility. The 2nd Shift Logistics Supervisor is responsible for the direct supervision of a multidisciplinary team of hourly and support warehouse employees. We are looking for a strategic professional who can effectively manage complex scheduling and employee requirements while monitoring real-time warehouse operations to ensure all safety, quality, and output objectives are met with precision.

Working hours 2:00 pm to 11:30 pm Monday to Friday, with opportunity for overtime pay.

Key Responsibilities

  • Effectively manage the warehouse with a relentless focus on safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Build a results-oriented environment that champions fair and equal treatment for all team members.
  • Conduct impactful, unbiased performance reviews and utilize skill matrices to build a highly efficient, and well-trained team.
  • Manage workforce requirements, including scheduling, overtime, and vacation planning, while staying strictly within budget and policy.
  • Identify and resolve warehouse challenges throughout the shift to ensure all logistic goals are consistently met or exceeded.
  • Oversee and uphold all environmental compliance standards and company policies within the warehouse.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives using advanced problem-solving tools like Kaizens, Value Stream Maps, 5-Why’s, 8D’s, and Standard Work.
  • Develop and support a "5S mindset" across warehouse areas, ensuring extraordinary housekeeping is always the standard.

Basic Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED with 5+ years of progressive warehouse and/or logistics experience including at least 2+ years in supervision

OR

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 2+ years of experience in a supervision role in warehouse and/or logistics environment

  • Background in inventory control, warehousing, shipping, and receiving practices
  • Maintain a high ethical standard and a foundational understanding of key OSHA regulations (including Confined Spaces, Electrical Safety, and Machine Safeguarding).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and possess the digital literacy to master new internal systems
  • Focused on results and flexibility to work beyond standard hours when necessary to support the warehouse

This position may be entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements. 

Pay Range 

The annual salary for this position is $80,750–$113,250.  Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.
